These nurse practitioners care for premature and ill newborns in Dupont Hospital’s neonatal
intensive care unit.
Rene Arcellana, M.D.
Dr. Arcellana received his undergraduate degree and medical school training at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. His general pediatric training was completed at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. He completed his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Louisville.
Daniel Biehl, M.D.
Dr. Biehl graduated from Michigan Tech University in Houghton, MI, and Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed his residency in general pediatrics at Michigan State University and his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Louisville. Dr. Biehl's fellowship research focused on clinical applications of ECMO. He applied this experience while in the Air Force as director of ECMO for Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
James Cameron, M.D.
Dr. Cameron graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
Chris Kim, M.D.
Dr. Kim graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea. He completed a pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee and a neonatal-perinatal fellowship at the University of Louisville.
Janet Leezer, M.D.
Dr. Leezer received her undergraduate degree, residency and fellowship training from the University of Louisville. After completing her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine, she served as clinical faculty at the University of Louisville.
Stephan Pepple, M.D.
Dr. Pepple received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in Saba, Dutch Caribbean. He completed his pediatric residency at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, where he was the recipient of the Dr. William Bartlett Outstanding Senior Pediatric Resident Award, and his neonatal-perinatal fellowship at the University of Louisville.
Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
Alexis Felger, NNP
Alexis earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University and her master’s degree in the neonatal nurse practitioner program at the University of Indianapolis. She previously worked as a NICU nurse, including four years as the nurse lead..
Emily Mastelou-Page, NNP
Emily received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Purdue University-Fort Wayne and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Indianapolis neonatal nurse practitioner program. Her past experience includes caring for critically ill newborns requiring conventional ventilation, high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide.
Chimi Nusbaum, NNP-BC
Chimi earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Goshen College and completed her master's degree in nursing for neonatal nurse practitioner from the University of New York at Stony Brook. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Nu Omicron-at-Large) and the National Academy of Neonatal Nursing.
